Product Description

ADVANCELL EM series is comprised of thermo-expandable microspheres (tinyplastic spheres) containing a low-boil-ing-point liquid hydrocarbon inside athermoplastic polymer shell. when heated, the shells soften and at same time, the hydrocarbon contained inside suddenly expands, forming micro-balloons. Mixing ADVANCELL EM with a resin (base material)adds a variety of desirable characteristics and features to the material.such as reduced weight and en.hanced flexibility.The expansion start temperature andcell size can be optimized by selectingan appropriate grade. 



PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
 

MINICELL EM series is a physical foaming agent. Under an electron microscope, this series of foaming agents looks like round balloons. When the foaming agent is heated, the outer shell becomes soft. the internal pressure increases sharply and the size of the sphere expands greatly, then volume will increases by 80 to 100 times. The specific gravity of the expanded microspheres can be reduced by 30kg/m³(0.03g/cm), Make it an ideal foaming additive for rubber and plastic materials.

Since ADVANCELL EM is comprised of shells (polymercells),the micro-balloons feature an independent,closed-cell structure.ADVANCELL EM offers the fol-lowing advantages over a chemical foaming agent made mainly of ADCA (azodicarbonamide). 1)Fine, uniform micro-balloons achieve a smooth surface. 2)The sharp particle size distribution achieved by proprietary technology allows the micro-balloon size to be controlled. 3)Micro-balloons can be formed even in low-viscosity compositions.
